A solid introductory level subject that provides a good introduction to the key ideas in corporate finance and financial mathematics.

Avoid doing this subject with Ali if possible. He's a terrible teacher and doesn't actually teach you how to understand and solve the workshop questions which ultimately works against you during the final exam. He's also incredibly unhelpful and unwilling to give students extra materials to help them practice. This subject is hard enough on its own for those without a maths background, and Ali simply makes it harder by being unhelpful.

Keep up with all the weekly practice questions. But for the final exam, you really need to have a strong understanding of the concepts and how they relate to each other, because it is quite a lot more challenging than the weekly practice questions, so I would recommend studying the concepts in the textbook and asking questions whenever you are confused about anything, and going through the practice exams as many times as you can before the exam.

Quite practical and useful. The computation part of the subject make it difficult to cope with.

Try to do the homework each week. The first weeks subjects are not hard but at the end it gets a bit hard and maybe you won`t have time to do all the homework. If you understand all the exercises you can score a good grade.

Ali is an excellent lecturer who is very patient and willing to teach students both in lecture and also during consultation hours.

Got an excemption on this, seems like it is just a combination of basic finance concepts from undergraduate or CFA 1.
