Reviews
Well-organised subject, a great intro to bio. If you haven't done VCE bio before (me) it IS a lot of information and you have to be on top of it all from day one. Content heavy but interesting.

Interesting subject but pay attention to everything the lecturers mention and stay on top of your stuff. Even the smallest detail can become an extended answer question. Would recommend doing all of your reading and revise old contents every 3 weeks.

I found this subject to be the perfect introduction to Uni, it had a good blend of VCE biology with some new information added in here and there to keep me challenged without being overwhelming

It is very interesting subject when human physiology starts. The only reason for 3 stars is the real exam was nowhere close to practice one instead, it was way harder than the practice one.

Has quite a lot of content, however there is a lot of overlap with VCE biology 3&4. Overall, I loved this subject so much!!!! Extremely interesting and relatively straight forward. Make sure you don't fall behind with the lectures because it can be difficult to catch up later and it is a very fast paced subject.

Extremely engaging and interesting topic covering a range of fascinating topics from the mechanisms of the immune system to the microscopic cellular processes that all our cells carry out. Though it is a demanding subject that should have a fair amount of effort devoted toward it, it is extremely rewarding and a lot of useful knowledge can be gained.

Had no previous experience in Biology (except Year 10 which I hated) but the lectures are organised in a manner which allows people with no prior knowledge to catch up with everyone else. Overall pretty interesting subject but quite content heavy.

Very interesting. Fast paced but manageable.

Lectures were full on regarding content but they were mostly well taught. The practicals also helped in my understanding so thats always good. Its quite an enjoyable and interesting subject.

Despite the fact that its 8am lectures in the morning may be a turn off but the lecturers tried to make it as interesting as possible. Similar to high school Biology (possibly more in depth) but no fret if you do not have any Biology background. I have friends who didn't do Year 12 Biology and scored very well for this subject
