Reviews

One of the best subjects I took as a pharmacology major. Very useful for real world application. It is structured very well beginning from potential targets, then moving to current clinical trials. Personally, I enjoyed learning about current activities within the pharmacology industry as well as the invited presenters (such as WEHI). This subject is essentially a must-do if you're a pharmacology major. Content is very straight forward and many questions in the MST/exam can be worked out through logic. I would 100% recommend this subject to anyone remotely interested in future endeavors in pharmacology.

The main point of this subject is to learn what factors and processes drugs must undergo, if they want to reach the market. You'll examine a range of case studies (e.g. medicinal cannabis, gastric ulcer drugs). I think that the format of this subject has greatly improved this semester, to allow us to really grasp that message of how drugs are regulated and approved.

This subject is very poorly organised, the lectures jump around and are very difficult to wrap your head around.
