For me, this made the importance of the interview particularly clear, my MMI was a major opportunity to differentiate myself from applicants with stronger academic scores, and I was able to turn that opportunity into a first round offer. I developed a structured approach to MMIs that allowed me to tackle unfamiliar stations without relying on memorised answers. It's the same framework I now use when working with students. I'm also a very standard candidate and let my personality show, rather than hiding behind a professional-rehearsed blanket.
