GAMSAT Section 2 Tutoring: Medical Student 99th percentile S2 (Score 81) I'm Raff, I'm a medical student at the University of Sydney. I achieved an 81 S2 score in my first sitting (March 2024) which was in the 99th percentile for that sitting. I did so through a clear essay structure and targeted practice which I would like to share with you. I also was influenced by my debating experience, having won the 2021 Queensland debating competition - which helped train in forming logical arguments. I've tutored multiple students in Section 2 of the GAMSAT and achieved improvements in section 2 scores in all. I also have an established history in tutoring; I tutored high school subjects for ~2 years (English, math methods and specialist, sciences, Japanese), and coached debating to students as well. Over zoom we can walk through a structured approach to essay writing, catered to your writing style. We can discuss the planning aspect of the essay writing and practice under times conditions. Finally, we can look over practice essays you may have written and discuss positive changes we can make.
