*Free first consult (see below)* Over 50 students tutored. Increased S1 score from 63 -> 75, and consistently scored 72+ in S2. Hi, I’m Oliver, I'm a 1st year med student at USYD offering S1/S2 tutoring. I sat the GAMSAT twice as an NSB, and went from a 62/63/50 -> 75/72/63. I have tutored approximately 50 GAMSAT students so far (some of which was through a big tutoring company, which I have since left as I really do not think they are effective in terms of the cost-benefit for students). I am happy to send reviews from my students/their details. Because I like to spend the first session getting to know a student and working out where I can actually be of use, I am happy to do these first sessions unpaid, and with no expectation of further sessions. I found over the course of my GAMSAT prep that S1 was not only the most challening, but also the most rewarding section to 'crack' (in terms of finding what ACER really is asking of you). I have worked out a method of approaching S1 that has (at least as far as my students have reported) been very helpful for those that feel S1 is otherwise impossible to improve in. With S2, I have marked over 100 essays from students, and feel I have a strong sense of what 'must be done' to score well, while at the same time remaining aware that there exists a VAST array of successfull approaches to S2. I have put a great deal of effort into working out how to explain what ACER is looking for, without keyholing students into fixed structures/approaches (which is a sure fire way to score poorly). I offer sessions either online or face-to-face near USYD or the CBD. $80/hr for 1:1 sessions, happy to do group sessions at discounted rat PHILOSOPHY tutoring Mainly offering this as I find it personally enjoyable - I received my MA in Philosophy, 1st class honours from USYD, and have had an article from my masters published in a major journal. Reach out to discuss specifics if you are after help with any undergrad classes :)
