If you are someone who is a Psychology student or even undertaking a one off psych elective you may recollect at some point one of your tutors or lecturers telling you “only 1% or 2% of you will make it out to be a psychologist.” I, myself have experienced the sense of dread when remembering the odds of being admitted into the Honours and Psych Masters course. Nevertheless, with the support of private tutors, peers, university tutors and lecturers I was able to get into the Honours year and achieve a Distinction WAM. As a way to give back to the student community, I would love to support you through your academic journey. I still remember the day I got my first HD for a psychology research report for a unit that was notorious for having the highest fail rate across all other psychology units. It was the fact that an experienced tutor had given me some last minute feedback for my report that took me across the line. I can think of many other instances where this happened throughout my Psychology degree. This is what makes me truly believe that while individual effort is required for success, having someone look over your work with a fresh pair of eyes and who has also been in the exact same shoes as you is what can really turn a distinction into a high distinction mark. A little bit about me: - I completed my Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) Degree in 2023 with a Distinction WAM - In 2024 I was selected to present my Honours research at at Macquarie University’s Personality and its Disorders Conference - At the end of 2024 I received offers for Master of Professional Psychology from WSU, ISN, University of Newcastle, University of Notre Dame (CSP) and ANU (CSP). I also received an offer for Master of Clinical Psychology from ISN and University of Tasmania and was on the waiting list for UTS. - In 2026 I had the realisation that my skills and calibre would best suit me working as a Researcher and an Academic within the university space. To pursue this new dream of mine, I will be undertaking the Masters of Research in 2027. How I can help you: - Assist with breaking down your assignments and assessment tasks into smaller and less overwhelming steps - Proofread your written work and provide written feedback to help you understand where you can improve upon your work - Make you a more independent and critical thinker to help with increasing your self-confidence to achieve long term success. - Assist with reviewing Psychology Masters Applications (i.e. CVs, personal statements etc.) - Be your cheerleader and mentor :) Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I look forward to supporting you through your academic journey!
