I am a fourth-year Law student at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), having completed all 11 prerequisite law subjects. Through my degree, I have developed a strong and practical understanding of core areas including contracts, torts, criminal law, property, and equity and trusts. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I have recently completed these subjects myself, so I understand exactly how they are taught and assessed at UTS, what examiners are looking for, and where students commonly lose marks. I place a strong emphasis on exam technique and structure, teaching students how to approach problem questions step-by-step, apply IRAC effectively, and integrate cases and legislation in a clear, confident way under time pressure. Beyond academic support, I also guide students through the practical side of law school that is rarely taught. This includes advice on law school expectations, managing workload, building strong legal skills early, and understanding the realities of legal work. I support students with practical insights into legal careers, including how to approach clerkships, paralegal positions, internships, and early-career opportunities, as well as how to make themselves competitive for these roles. I love to support students who feel overwhelmed, unsure how to start answers, or anxious about assessments. My tutoring style is patient, practical, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I focus on building understanding and confidence so students can independently tackle questions and improve their results. Whether you are a first-year student building foundations, or a later-year student aiming to refine exam performance and legal writing, I tailor each session to your goals. My aim is not just to help students pass, but to help them feel confident, capable, and in control of their law studies.
