HIGHLY RECOMMEND! MY SCORE THIS SITTING HAS IMPROVED BY 20 POINTS THANKS TO KEVIN - with a score close to 80 this sitting!!! I have engaged with Section 2 tutors in the past, but I genuinely believe that my writing has improved the most since I started with Kevin. The quality of my essays has improved dramatically after just a few weeks of working with him. Kevin’s knowledge of literature and writing is so vast. He has an arsenal of evidence and is incredibly skilled at differentiating between “good” and “bad” evidence. The essay structures he introduced to me have also improved the flow of my ideas so much. Kevin doesn’t simply teach you how to come up with good ideas and paragraphs, but rather takes the time to improve your essay as a whole. My essays used to read more like a list of points than a cohesive essay. Kevin taught me how to make my essays flow from start to finish, and I seriously never realised how important that was. Furthermore, as stated in his profile, Kevin has also done three GAMSAT sittings where he achieved high 80s for the last two. It is very clear to me that Kevin knows exactly what ACER WANTS to see for a high-scoring essay. He will absolutely give you the constructive criticism you need. Over the past 10 lessons, Kevin has been an incredible help in furthering my writing skills for GAMSAT S2, and the results of his help have shown in my past sitting, with my section 2 score increasing by 16. He has great knowledge over various writing styles and topics, and does not enforce a one-size-fits all writing style, rather tailoring and personalising the lessons towards the individual, making sure they write coherently and cohesively whilst maintaining their personal voice and opinions. He has helped me manage my time in this section quite well, and I have noticed a significant improvement in my ability to think at a deeper level quicker. He has always been punctual and available for help, patient in every lesson, and prepared every lesson with new writing strategies and prompts. I highly recommend him to anyone needing that extra push and bit of help to excel in section 2!
