UniMelb Health Tutor Frank
BSc Subject / Medical MMI Tutoring
Hi! I'm Frank and I'm in my second year of medical school (postgrad MD) at Melbourne Uni. I love all things music, sports, geopolitics and instagram reels!
--BSc Subject Tutoring (UniMelb)
In my Bachelor of Science, I achieved an 85+ undergraduate WAM studying difficult subjects from a wide range of faculties, including immunology, biochemistry, mathematics, probability and statistics, all through to second-year and beyond. I am currently offering tutoring for the following subjects, in which I obtained the corresponding grade:
- BCMB20002 Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (H1 90, top 5% in cohort)
- ANAT20006 Principles of Human Structure (H1 89)
- CHEM10003 Chemistry 1 (H1 93)
- MAST10006 Calculus 2 (H1 90)
Academically, I have interned in 2 labs at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) on a paid undergraduate scholarship during uni semesters, where I learnt valuable skills in medical dry and wet lab research. I also ran an Anki how-to workshop as part of my work with Unimelb Careers, and would love to share tips and tricks with you to make your studying more effective and tackle problems from different perspectives!
--Medical School MMI Tutoring--
There are a lot of great tutors on this site who all want to see you succeed in the interview, so why trust me?
Well, I think the main experience that sets me apart is my 2-year experience as a junior Careers and Employability careers coach at the University of Melbourne. During this time, I was formally trained in, and gained invaluable experience assisting students with interview preparation for internships and graduate offers in many different industries. Unsurprisingly, a lot of what medical school interviewers want to see is no different from what employers want to see in general!
But more specifically to medicine, I keep up-to-date with current medical health issues and global trends, involving myself with relevant extracurriculars and student clubs. This is essential for prospective and current medical students to become great healthcare leaders and advocates!
I truly believe that all of these combined experiences make me a well rounded medical student and highly qualified interview tutor to help you succeed!
