I have 14 years of commercial experience as a barrister & solicitor. I was awarded my PhD from Monash University in March 2022 and I have mentored junior lawyers since 2014. In my experience, law students generally need to: develop and apply the right thinking process, master the 'basics', understand the gray areas of a law issue, specifically prepare for exams depending on the style of exam, manage their time, develop study habits and create study notes regularly. Those points form a part of an integrated process to be a successful student and future lawyer.
