GAMSAT score from a non-science background - 75/87/65 (73 weighted; 75 unweighted). My S1 and S2 scores place me in the 99th percentile and beyond for these two sections, with my overall score placing me in the 98th percentile. Background: I have 4+ years experience as an HSC English tutor (over 60 students), helping students from diverse backgrounds and with diverse academic and intellectual needs. I recently graduated with first-class honours from USYD in a Bachelor of Psychology (Overall mark: 90; Thesis mark: 93), a degree that largely relies upon verbal and written communication. I have also received HD marks in several English and Philosophy electives, which require high levels of abstract critical reasoning and verbal communication. This helped me score highly in reading comprehension and essay writing sections of the GAMSAT. Tutoring style: How our sessions are run is partly up to you - if you would like me to take the lead and organise a detailed plan, I can do that. If you want to direct my attention to your perceived flaws, or look over essays, we can also do that. I have a wealth of resources, practice questions, example essays, alongside recommended reading, to help develop both your writing skills and comprehension. Specific to S2, I have some useful heuristics to develop more original ideas in response to the ACER prompts (which is key!), and some good rules of thumb for developing sentences that are coherent, clear, but also interesting! I am available between tutoring sessions to mark essays and answer questions, too. Rate: One-on-one = $85 Two students = $50 pp Three or more students = $40 pp Location: Online or in-person.
