UOW Science Tutor Marshall

I've completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Medicinal Chemistry, graduating with a Distinction Average, and currently enrolled to study a Masters of Teaching at the University of Canberra starting 2025, and I'm eager to develop my skills as an educator. I've always been interested and observant of what is encapsulated by the learning process, different learning styles, and tools/resources to most effectively achieve optimal understanding of any given topic. From this, I understand the importance of simplifying what can feel like very complex and overwhelming content into digestible pieces. While I am a STEM student, I have always placed importance on being personable and an effective communicator, which has refined my ability to be clear, concise and effective at communicating concepts and theory, and I strive to reframe through analogy and imagery to facilitate understanding. My expertise primarily lies in chemistry fundamentals, organic/inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry, and analytical/water chemistry. However, I can also assist with statistics and 1st year mathematic skills, as well as best practice for researching and drafting scientific reports. I'm flexible in my hours to tutor as well as happy to travel to the uni or students' homes.
