My name is Wendy and I offer tutoring in all sections of the GAMSAT, with a focus on S3, as well as for the MMIs. You can ask me about comprehensive preparation, or focus on specific sections as you need - I'm open to both casual and regular sessions! My approach for the different sections are as follows: S1: - an initial introductory session to talk about long-term preparation strategies and do some practice questions together, for me to see how you approach questions - a planned timeline of working through resources - casual sessions for us to work through challenging questions together S2: - an initial introductory session as an overview of S2 prep, with strategies, basic structure and example essays, as well as looking over an essay you've written to discuss future areas of improvement - step-by-step of a structured method to S2 essay writing, including finding an assertion based on the prompts, devising arguments and examples, and writing with a logical flow - casual/regular sessions to plan essays together and mark essays S3: - casual/regular sessions together to learn and improve technique on doing questions and logical reasoning - a planned timeline of working through resources of practice questions, as well as high yield bio, chem and physics topics for revision - personal resources for certain bio and chem topics The resources I use for practice questions are mostly limited to ACER and Des O'Neill, as well as some personal resources for other aspects of teaching. About me: - took the GAMSAT once in March 2022 with an overall score of 87 - graduated Bachelor of Biomedicine at UniMelb with 85+ WAM - Doctor of Medicine CSP at UniMelb - 4 years tutoring experience (not limited to GAMSAT) Locations: - online (zoom)
