I’m Adam, a former University of Melbourne and Monash tutor and marker. I offer detailed draft feedback, academic editing and one-to-one essay support, with particular strengths in History, Literature, Music and the humanities.

HOW I CAN HELP
• Essay feedback: Is your argument clear? Does each paragraph develop it? Are you analysing your evidence or mainly describing it?
• Structure and rubric: Identify gaps, improve the sequence of ideas and understand where your draft needs to address the question more directly.
• Proofreading and editing: Improve grammar, expression, flow and referencing consistency; cut unnecessary words while preserving your meaning.
• EAL support: Express your ideas more clearly in academic English, with explanations of recurring writing issues.
• Planning and discussion: Work through the question, an outline or previous marker feedback in an online session.
Whether you’re finding an essay difficult or refining a strong draft, I’ll explain what to revise and why. For subjects outside my specialist areas, my focus is on writing and structure rather than specialist subject teaching.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
For a draft review, I return your document with tracked changes and comments explaining the issues and practical next steps. We can also arrange a Zoom or Google Meet session to discuss your revisions.
I work online. Before we begin, I’ll confirm the scope, estimated cost and turnaround so you know what to expect. If your deadline is close, include it in your first message so I can check availability.

My rate is $70 per hour. I’ll estimate the time required after reviewing your brief; the level of support depends on your draft and priorities.

You remain the author. I don’t write assessed work or guarantee marks, and support must fit your course’s rules on external feedback and editing.
