USYD Health Tutor Cheuk Yin

I'm currently a registered physiotherapist both in Hong Kong and Australia. Prior to graduation, I undertook the program of Master of Physiotherapy in USyd. I have completed all the MPhty courses as well as some foundation courses such as Neuroscience (BIOS1171), Functional Musculoskeletal Anatomy B (BIOS1169), and Muscle Mechanics and Training (EXSS1029) with satisfactory results. I am also a graduate from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in Exercise and Health therefore the knowledge in exercise science and physiology further extends my understanding and application into the career of physiotherapy. I therefore understand the main concepts of these courses and know what components should be focused more on to help with your study. I am also constantly doing researches regularly to ensure my knowledge in this field is up to date and provide the most recent evidence practice to my students. I have 4-year experience in tutoring high-school students and 3 years in tutoring tertiary students. My teaching is generally divided into two parts: 1) Clearing all questions and queries from the students; 2) Explaining the main concepts and identifying the key components of each topic. My lessons would therefore be more interactive instead of being tutor-oriented. I often raise questions to check if my students can consolidate the knowledge and concepts while the students are strongly encouraged to raise any questions they do not understand to ensure that every part of the courses is well-understood. I am always enthusiastic in teaching because I enjoy helping students in achieving satisfactory results by using what I have learnt, so feel free to ask me any questions regarding your physiotherapy or exercise-related courses and I will do my very best to clear all your misunderstandings and help you achieve an HD.
