*please refer to the end for availabilities* I tutored STAT1520 for three years while I was at university; this was both official tutoring as an employee by the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science (2012-2015) and also as a private tutor (2012 to current). The core course content has not changed during the time I've been tutoring the unit and I have made sure I have kept up to date with any small changes. Statistics isn't for everyone and that's why I will do my best to make the concepts as relatable and easy to understand as possible. My teaching style was often complimented because of how I could break down statistical processes into easier steps and use real life examples to make the concepts easier to understand. I have a 100% pass rating on my private students and my classes consistently scored highly. When I took the unit I achieved a High Distinction. The topics I cover include, but are not limited to: * binomial distribution * poisson distribution * hypothesis testing * independence * sampling distribitions * normal distribution, * chi-square tests (multiple proportions) * ANOVA (multiple means) * basic inference techniques (estimations) * linear regression (simple and multiple) * determination of appropriate testing method * inference and analysis of two means and two proportions (paired and unpaired) I am willing to teach groups of two person for $45 an hour and three or more for $50 an hour. ********************************************** There are currently the following timeslots available for regular tutoring sessions (both in person and over Zoom): • Mondays - after 5:00pm • Thursdays - after 5:00pm • Fridays - after 5:00pm • Saturdays - after 2pm • Sundays - any time I *may* be available for “cram sessions” in late October outside of these times - that is sessions of at least two hours that cover multiple chapters.
