This is a textbook on Australian competition law, and it is also the designated textbook for the LAWS8219 course at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). This is the eighth edition of Corones' Competition Law in Australia. The first edition was published in 1994, titled Restrictive Trade Practices Law, which had been preceded in 1990 by Competition Law and Policy in Australia by the same author. The first edition of this textbook treatise was already nearly 500 pages. In a little under three decades, the seventh edition published in 2018 ran to nearly 1000 pages. The increase in content reflects the growth in the scope and complexity of Australia's competition law, as well as the book's ambition to provide a comprehensive account of different components of competition policy as a tool of economic regulation.
