Reviews

The original subject 'entrepreneurship' offered in 2017 was extremely interesting - where students were given the opportunity to highlight a business problem and resolve this business problem using an incremental or radical innovation. This provided a real world insight into the critical thinking involved in commencing a movement into starting your own company - by covering all elements of the business plan (problem, solution, market analysis, marketing strategies, capital, growth management, structures etc). Since, the subject has changed into something ludicrous with no real world value at all. As the beneath review mentions, the lecturer uses self-created theory which hardly creates logical sense, nor allows the students to be entrepreneurial... instead making it an essay on the philosophical ideologies of entrepreneurship. Something which real entrepreneurs certainly wouldn't need to use. Unless this unit has been changed since 2018 it isn't recommended. If you want to be an entrepreneur get involved in QUT's bluebox!

honestly the most useless subject I have ever done. Did not learn a single thing in this subject. The lecturer essentially uses theory he created himself. The workshops are completely useless... its almost becomes a psychology lecture than about entrepreneurship. Might be an easy 7 but it is a test on your ability to bullsh##t on a report
