Description

WHAT IT'S FOR (AND NOT FOR) This is the edition you write from in the exam. Not a learning guide (see my Full Edition notes for that): it assumes you know the material and gives you every topic's point structure, each with its authority already in the shorthand you'd write, so that reading time goes into spotting issues and writing time into applying facts. If you need further guidance with writing, I suggest using the paste-in opening sentences/sentence support in my Full Edition first to get familiar with how to articulate issues and analysis. WHY IT WORKS Time is what a Torts exam tests. Forty-four pages covering all sixteen topics means you sweep the facts against the whole syllabus in reading time, mark the live points, and write down the list in order with the citations already there. Nothing to hunt for and nothing to skip past: every line is a point you'd write or an authority you'd cite. HOW TO USE IT The week before: read it cover to cover daily, so the topic structures are in your head before you need them. Reading time: mark every live point across every topic the facts touch. Writing time: work down the marked points: rule, authority, application, conclusion; open the Full Edition only when a point needs its Argue note. PAIR IT WITH The Full Edition (listed separately) is where the points are explained, with opening sentences, argument notes and case notes. Full to learn, Concise to write. CONTENTS: TOPICS > See the table of contents in the preview: Trespass to the person, defences and damages; Trespass to land; Nuisance; Negligence (duty, breach, causation and scope, mental harm, pure economic loss, defences, damages for personal injury and death); Vicarious liability; Concurrent liability, contribution and proportionate liability.
