Description

This subject explores the process of transition from student to professional practitioner and provides students with an opportunity to critically evaluate their preparedness for registered nurse practice. Students will explore the factors that influence the transitional experience and develop self-care strategies to assist their transition to the workforce. As an emergent professional, students will further develop their understanding of the link between practice and the professional regulatory environment and build capacity to meet their professional responsibilities as registered nurses. Furthermore, the nurse as professional will be examined with an emphasis on using values and ethical decision-making to promote ethical care and effect workplace cultural change. Topics Include: - Transition - Ethical Dilemmas - React to Reflect: The brain under pressure -Thriving Together - Regulation Requirements -Human Factors and Risk in Health -Health Informatics and Health Technology
