Description

This is a challenging subject as it requires not only factual recall but also the ability to compose short answer responses that integrate multiple lectures. In many ways, this is more difficult as you simultaneously require both breadth and depth of knowledge of the vast volume of content. The MCQs are quite easy in this subject and the lecture slides will suffice for that; it’s the SAQs and assignments that really discern students’ marks and require a unique approach.   The best approach I found was to use this set of ‘index-style' notes, which: * Condense each module into a few pages ( 2-4 pages) for a bird’s eye view of all the lectures and important tutorial content. This makes it much easier to draw out the big ideas and ensure that your SAQ responses are integrative and comprehensive. The notes still contain ALL the content in enough detail to add depth to your responses and prevent missing knowledge.  * Important information and ideas that are frequently assessed and can often be applied across multiple question types are highlighted. * Contain the newest lectures, including recently introduced ones in the Respiratory and Mental Health blocks * Equally useful for MCQ revision and assignments * Offers guide on how to achieve H1 for each assignment (incl. Writing for Your Audience and Graphical Analysis task) with important pointers based on feedback. Also includes reviews of the MST and exam after completion and tips on composing H1 responses.   There is simply no time (nor need) to memorise hundreds of pages of nitty gritty details in this subject. All modules covered: 1. Metabolic Syndrome  2. Stem Cells & Engineering Technology 3. Respiratory Diseases 4. Mental Health
