1st Place in COMP5425 Multimedia Retrieval Notes (High Distinction)

Description

I am a computer science and neuroscience major in a Bachelor of IT/Bachelor of Science (Advanced) course at the University of Sydney. These notes helped me get 1st place in COMP5425 Multimedia Retrieval. They enabled me to achieve a score of 88 in the subject. They cover topics of: Overview of Multimedia Data Management (Lecture 1), Text information retrieval (Lecture 2), Web Information Retrieval (Lecture 3), Multimedia Basics (Lecture 4), Multimedia Information Retrieval I (Lecture 5), Content Based Retrieval II (Lecture 6), Content Based Retrieval III (Lecture 7), Large Scale Retrieval (Lecture 8), Recommender Systems (Lecture 9), Information Summarisation (Lecture 10) and Social Media (Lecture 11). These notes include both lecture notes, and self-written summaries of some of the more challenging topics.
