Intro to Logical Thinking Complete Notes
Subject notes for WSU 101189
Description
Hi All! I acheived a High Distinction in this unit and did really strongly. I was also on the Dean's Merit List in 2020 for my strong performance in Psychology (Honours). Here are my notes which got me there. The notes are only from lecture 3 onwards, since I thought the first few lectures were not important. These notes include: - Lecture 3: The Ground Rules - Lecture 4: The Double Edged Sword of Language - Lecture 5: Arguments: Identification, Analysis, and Casting - Lecture 6: The Two Types of Arguments (Inductive and Deductive) - Lecture 7: Evaluating Arguments - Part I (Formal Fallacies) - Lecture 8: Evalutaing Arguments - Part II (Informal Fallacies) - Lecture 9: Introduction to "isms" in Psychology - Lecture 10: Arguing about Enduring Conceptual Issue in Psychology Lecture 11: Evaluating Psychological Research Lecture 12: How do Psychology, Philosophy, and Science Fit? Lecture 13: Evaluation and Revision There are a few typos and little notes to myself which are embarrassing. These notes are not a 'summary', but instead a way I learned through the unit - in extension, these notes will aid your learning.
