Modules 1-10 Primary Healthcare in Action

These notes are an introduction to Primary Health Care (PHC) as a social model of health and a World Health Organization (WHO) strategy for achieving just and humane health care. The notes explore the impact and relevance of PHC as a framework for organising an Australian healthcare system that decreases health inequities and optimises the health of all people. With these notes I gained a HD in all components examined thus far. Modules from Week 1- Week 10 included: -Creating and Maintaining a healthy community -Sustainable Development and National Health Priorities -Communities of Place -Health promotion and social determinants -Culture as a social determinant of health -Sustainability -Healthy families -Healthy Adults -Primary Healthcare through the ages -Assessing the community and working in groups.
