These notes are summaries on each of the topics covered in the 2016 Evidence Law classes. I consider it unlikely that there have been many alterations to the course structure since then, however the topics covered in these notes include: Introduction, Burden/Standards of Proof, Trial Procedure, Relevance, Witnesses and Examination and other evidence, Admissibility and Hearsay, Admissions and the Right to Silence, Opinion, Credibility, Tendency, Identification, Warnings, Vulnerability, Privileges and Immunity. Each summary has references to David Field & Kate Offer, Western Australian Evidence Law (LexisNexis Butterworths, 2015) and it would be highly advantageous to read these notes in tandem with the text.
