A very straightforward unit, albeit one that's incredibly uninteresting. Assessment is thankfully simple to grasp and it's fairly easy to get a good mark. However, tutorials and lectures seemed like they were mostly irrelevant and filled with a lot of useless information. They seem to be more about "This is something you might find interesting," rather than "This is something you need to know for this unit and your future career and studies." So, all in all, it's fine. Just don't expect this unit to be your favourite.

Maybe the CE or lecturer changed over the years......I took this unit in the summer B offering of 2023 and unlike what the others have said, i found this unit intensive and challenging (little to no time to work on assignments or prepare for quiz (five in total), the ungraded weekly lab tasks and finally we were expected to do 40 hours extra reading which gets tested on the final exam)....the delivery mode of the unit's content is a complete disaster (each week there is only one 2 hour workshop and one 2 hour tutorial you need to attend on campus, the rest is pre-recorded lectures and self-learning)......the lecturer's (an american guy) teaching wasn't amazing....he was either reading word for word from the slides or was skimming quickly through 2 weeks worth of content in under 50 minutes video without adequate explanations to any of the important data science concepts (the V model, data wrangling, what is data science).....frankly, avoid this unit at all cost or take it during a typical semester (not summer)

Good Subject to score.I hit high distinction and I am glad to make you guys get that grade of HD or D. Good way to increase your WAM is this subject
