Reviews

Slightly a tough one for students without a biology background but it is not difficult to get your head around the content if you enjoy it!

Practicals can give you a hard time if you are not regular to the lectures, otherwise the unit is fine

You really need to have a knowledge of VCE Biology otherwise the first few weeks of this unit will be incredibly frustrating. If you have no background, extra reading and effort is needed to gain the background knowledge for this unit. Overall, the lecturers were all pretty good and content was interesting. New content can be overwhelming at times but if you can get into a PASS class, that will help consolidate info. Labs were not very good in this unit.

A content rich but very much enjoyable unit. Assessments very clear and the teaching staff do make the effort to help you. Those that haven't done biology previously may find some difficulty but if you put the effort in, it shouldn't be too bad.

Fantastic unit; really interesting but a lot of content (especially in final few weeks). If you have not done VCE biol or IB some background biology reading is necessary as basic biology is not covered. Really loved this unit!

Great unit up until the last few weeks. If you have done IB or VCE biol in year 12 this will be a breeze

Somewhat confusing for students who have not completed biology in high school. Otherwise, relatively enjoyable.
