An absolutely fascinating subject! One of the more difficult ones purely due to content. I advise anyone who takes this subject to take COPIOUS notes and revise them at any given chance...the exam is insane...

Very interesting, but a content heavy subject. I had Remy as my lecturer and tutor, and his humour is a relief from the heavy topics of the lectures. Cover one countrie's foreign policy each week, but some prior background knowledge will seriously help you to grasp the concepts more quickly. Also there is an exam for this subject!

The most interesting international relations/politics unit I have taken as of yet. Content heavy, however, each week takes you through different foreign policies of the great powers. The lecturer Remy, delivers the lectures with humour which makes the 2-hours quite bearable. Assignments are easy to get good marks, however, the exam can be challenging, so purchasing the recommended textbook is a must for revision.

Awesome unit if you enjoy contemporary politics, foreign affairs and history. Remy delivers the content with a tongue and cheek attitude which is a relieve considering the often grim nature of the lectures. Assessment is standard for IR at Monash but could have a bit more variety, essays get tiring.

You either love Remy Davidson or you hate him. There is no in between.
