Very interesting even though the movies are quite old. If put in enough effort for each assignment, easy to score HD without having to go through every content and all the tutorials

I can say this was a great subject to anyone who never skipped lessons and any student who put effort to learn. I passed just fine

I genuinely would not recommend this unit to anyone unless they were really interested in film theory. This subject is actually quite difficult for a first year arts unit, and if you take it thinking it will be an easy pass I guarantee it wont be. There are only 2 movies that were on the schedule that I actually enjoyed, there's a lot of old foreign films that aren't great and you will have to watch those. Also the assessments are really difficult and the staff mark harshly.

SO great. Particularly good if you like exploring different kinds of films and studying film technique, narrative and meaning.

Some of the topics were very interesting. I didn't particularly enjoy watching the films that I had no interest in seeing. Early screenings were also difficult to remain attentive in.
