Reviews

Everything you learn is taken from one textbook. The textbook required for this unit was an online copy, purchased through Perusall. Easy to pass but extremely boring to learn. The instructions for every essay assignment were unclear, with the essay topics being very general too.

I can say this was a great subject to anyone who never skipped lessons and any student who put effort to learn. I passed just fine

Relatively simple if you stay focused, relatively interesting if you enjoy learning about media, but can get boring. Hard homework sheets every week. No exam, weekly quizzes but no feedback. Assessments simple but sometimes unclear.

hated this unit; way too time-consuming and not very interesting. tutor always goes on tangents, dry readings are the centre of everything, they really love turnitin (even for fill-in-the-blanks homework), and the homework sheets can range from like 3-12 pages long each week. some assessments unclear. no feedback on weekly quizzes, so if you make a mistake good luck figuring out where you're going wrong. only perk is no exam.

Whole semester is based on the content/topics in the Media, Culture & Society book.

Not enough clarity regarding assignments.
