This unit is not as bad as it is portrayed from the start of the semester. The exam questions are similar to the tutorial question, however, some questions link or combine a few chapters together to test students' knowledge of the unit. Also the tutors plays a pivotal role in how well you understand this unit, if by week 3 you feel that your tutor is not clear, try arranging a meeting with other tutors or Susan O'Leary (the lecturer) herself.

Overall the unit isn't bad, but the way it's taught is the main problem (although his may have just been my lecturer). The unit focuses on management accounting rather than financial accounting, so it might take a little while to get used to and to "start thinking like an accountant."
