I enjoyed this unit much more than I expected. Fyi I have quite a good background in maths so if it's not your strength, you will need to work really hard to do well in this unit. but you have to be serious and study to pass

I think this is the main course for ones who want to pursue finance career path. The course provides the fundamentals of finance such as finance system, time value of money and project decision making. I recommend this as a base finance course.

Really a corporate finance focus course even within the actuarial teaching framework. The reason was corporate finance knowledge is also a compulsory in actuarial study and examinations. However honestly this slubject is just moderate difficulty level if you understand the general structure of corporate finance well as long as some basic quantitative calculation.-Kevin Wang
