Michele was passionate teacher and made learning the unit very enjoyable. All the content is set out clearly and I knew exactly what how to approach the assessments.

Marlene did a terrible job teaching this unit this semester. The first assignment was vague and many students failed the unit. The second assignment was marked fairly in my opinion. Id suggest you make sure your legal writing skills are up to standard before enrolling in this unit as its quite difficult. Make sure you dont buy the text book before class starts because the lecturer changed the book last minute which resulted in many of us students having to purchase another book which was a pain in the ass and a waste of money. I dont recommend this unit until Marlene is gone. I was lucky to pass the unit but it was not easy. ALSO NOTE THIS IS A 4TH YEAR SUBJECT AND NOT A SECOND YEAR SUBJECT. It may be MLL210 but it was originally MLL408 and the markers still classify and mark in accordance to the old marking criteria. I knew a few students who thought it was a 2nd year subject and failed because of this.

Really interesting, lecturer provided a lot of guidance and knowledge that would be useful in practice. Assignments were more practical than those in other units such as an essay. Textbook was not really needed in this unit.

Interesting content but the textbook is quite poor. The assessment requirements aren't particularly clear either.
