Benita is the UC for Semester 2 and is very organised, engaging and passionate about the topic of management. The assessments comprise of 2 MCQs which are very doable and a major essay which was honestly the highlight of the entire semester and genuinely enjoyable to write. The exam was also okay and scheduled as an online assessment with multiple choice questions that are similar in style to the 2 MCQs assessments during the semester along with 3 short essay style questions visiting topics covered throughout the semester AND there is a requirement of in-text and end-text referencing (which isn't difficult if you already create a reference list and notes related to the readings covered prior to the exam- it will make your life a lot easier!). The textbook is strongly recommended to be purchased for this unit, I personally didn't find it to be TOO helpful as the lectures covered most of the relevant information for the assessments anyways, however, it is great for a bit more extra reading/in-depth explanations and referencing for the major essay/exam. This unit is very well structured and the lectures are in line with the textbook chapters, however, there are extra readings every week. The tutorials were fun too with class discussions every week. I would highly recommend to always provide input/participate in the discussions as the participation marks strongly take into account how much you contribute to the class during the tutorial. Overall, a very engaging and easy unit- a D, if not, a HD is very much possible IF kept up with the readings, lectures and participation in tutorials.

Caleb is a great UC/lecturer. He is very engaging and knows the content well. It had a lot of articles that need to be read but concepts are explained well. The final exam, which was online, was much easier than expected. The essay was a tedious task, but found it interesting to analyse the gig economy. Overall, it is a fairly simple unit with a lot of reading to be done though. A D or HD is definitely achievable with a little bit of effort.

Unit can be quite boring, but it is definitely not hard. The essay was one of the most enjoyable assessments and was easy to do well in. The two “tests” were super easy especially because it was open book, but you may face time constraints. The final exam is open book which is a bonus. Overall, the unit was very enjoyable with minimal effort.

This unit has been one ofthe best units i have done so far. The content is easy and straightforward and caleb is a great unit coordinator. My tutor was Terennce, he is such a funny and kind tutor, he is also very lenient and always wants his students to do well. The essay is pretty easy and the quizzes are not too difficult. The exam was online and open book with previous mcq questions from the quizzes. The exam also had 2 long answer questions that you needed in text citations, it wasnt too hard as it was open book. Overall it is such a good unit, especially if you put in some effort. definetly HDable.

The only reason why I don't give this unit a 5/5 is because of the exam. The questions for the essay part are a bit too complex for a level 1 unit (I am already in my third year so I find the questions more suited for level 2/3 units). You also need to do referencing, which is a bit ridiculous. Put that aside, I had a great time doing this unit. I took it as an elective despite no enjoying MGMT1135 at all. I just wanted a GPA booster, but ended up enjoying the classes and content more than I thought I would. Caleb is chill and nice, replies email fast, and is very dedicated to teaching us (he was sick a few times but still managed to come instead of canceling the lectures). My tutor, Terence, is also very nice. They both are very lenient in marking. The quizzes are so easy. The exam is also not that bad. For those looking for electives, give this unit a try. Lectures and the assignments are very interesting. Exam questions are a repeat from the quiz questions. Easy HD or D if you at least put in a bit of effort.

Such an easy unit! The lectures were very well organised and all you really need to remember is whats in the lecture slides, however listening to the lecture each week definitely helps with getting a better understanding. The mid-sem essay was marked quite easily, I got a really good mark on the essay basically just by checking the marking rubric and using the same points that were made listening to the lectures (obviously with relevant evidence). The MCQ were online & literally just covered content in the slides, and the exam used a lot of these same questions in the MCQ section. My only problem is that the lecture readings were quite long and boring, but they tell you what content to study for the exam so just make sure you go into the exam having read the lecture readings for those specific weeks, I found it didnt matter too much about not having read the other weeks - I was able to get 88% grade in the unit without putting too much effort in, so should be an easy D or HD for most people

Lectures were excellent, the course was exciting, the essay was one of the most interesting assignments I have ever had, and the practicals were great fun. Only reason for not having 5 stars is the somewhat dumb questions on the exams and tests which tested your ability to remember semantic details rather than the concepts themselves

Great unit! Lecturer for this semester was easy to understand, talks about the topic clearly and is very organised overall. Tutorials were also helpful in understanding the concepts. A straightforward unit overall, easy to achieve D or HD if you read the textbook and understand the topics. MCQ for majority of the assessments!

The lectures are a waste of time. They don't tell you what they want specifically. The first essay is a joke, its more of a report. There is not enough time for the online tests for the amount of questions you are asked. The entire unit was a complete waste of time, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I took this unit as a broadening and being 2nd year student, I don't think I've ever hated a unit more. They changed the structure of the midsem and exams so that now the former is all multi-choice, but the latter is all short and long essays that assesses the entire unit's content - which is basically the entire textbook. They don't tell you clearly what they want from the assignments. For example, my tutor told me to write an essay, but use headings and subheadings - isn't that a report? Furthermore, the lecturer is awful. His lecture slides are basically copy pasted from the textbook and he barely adds anything new to his lectures, other than extremely long and frequent off-topic tangents. It's a waste of two hours. Definitely would not recommend.
