Easy HD. I took this unit as a biomed student in my very first semester, just in case I found uni difficult. This unit is basically spec+, easy if you found that easy. Unit has 36 lectures in total, but a lot of it is listening and examples. The content on domains and graphs is a little challenging as this isn't covered in highschool, but it's very learnable. Exam was online in 2022 due to COVID; write answers, submit by taking photo. Don't bother going to the tutorials unless attendance is now mandatory, but do bother doing the practice questions. SOWISO quizzes (weekly quizzes with some online tool) were annoying. Don't bother doing anything else on SOWISO except for assessed things. Lecturer is sometimes hard to understand, and in my semester there was some annoying girl always stopping the lecturer asking the most comically trivial questions. But that was funny.

This is a pure calculus unit- if you are good with integration and differentiation it's a walk in the park. However the hardest topics (imo) are quickly skimmed over in week 12, with no consolidation in prac classes like all the other topics. The lectures were kinda dry, but I guess that's to be expected from an introductory vector calculus unit- explaining a theorem, examples, moving on. The prac classes were the highlight of the unit for me, although I would wager this is dependent on who your tutor is. Participation in these is marked, although you can miss two classes and be fine. Sometimes the 2 hours dragged on but overall they were fun.

This is literally just a vector calculus unit. If you know how to do single-variable calculus and dedicate enough time to study you will be fine. Definitely not a light-weight unit content wise. Also benefits from having past exams available for viewing online. I really liked Alice Devillers, the unit co-ordinator, and found they did a good job keeping the lectures fairly interesting.

Really good unit if you love Calculus.

Not for the non math inclined. Needs hard work and dedication with much effort

Highly recommend if you are okay with maths and are willing to put in the work. It is time consuming and somewhat heavy but the overall content is okay one you do the practicals and ask questions. The tutor was very knowledgeable in the subject and the lecturer was good. Don't recommend if you want an easy subject with no effort. Worth your while and interesting too. It is possible to get HD if you put in the work.

Lectures could be intense and moved fast as our lecturer focussed on establishing each theorem for use, but most of these formulas were on the data sheet and applying them was straightforward. I guess this depends on who the U.C. is when you do this unit. Assessments were very easy and question style was reused. This Semester I noticed that our assessments tended to be longer than those previous year papers provided to us, but similar in difficulty of the individual problems. Overall an interesting unit and marks upwards of 90% are well and truly achievable if you can keep up each week. Tutor was enthusiastic and eager to help, made the practice classes so much less arduous than other units.

This unit was relatively straightforward but interesting. The SOWISO quizzes were quite frustrating but luckily they aren't worth too much. Unfortunately with COVID, the lectures were of pretty low quality.

The SOWISO quizz is super difficult to use. I usually get the correct answer but cannot get the input right. Sometimes you just type a symbol that is unable to clear and you have to start again. And if you have got wrong once, you are unlucky because you have to repeat to get the correct asnwer, and then repeat again to make your score 100! Although questions are all great, the system makes it time-consuming not to help students but to waster their time. This sem we are gonna have online exam and fear of typing equations manually instead of multiple choice, and maybe facing same problem again

This unit was amazing. The lecturer (Miccal Matthews) was hilarious and that really helped me pay attention in class. The assessments were all fairly straightforward if all the provided questions from worksheets and past assessments were done.
