Reviews
the course is not horribly complex but the lecture made the content so confuse the tutorial is not helping...studying is such a pain... I gave up on lectures after half of the semester, and thanks to google, youtube, and khan academy, I somehow got a credit

This course spent a few weeks on revision from high school content, which made it a nice introduction in university level mathematics. It was very well taught.

Fun and challenging course, picks right where ext 2 left off

This course has some interesting content, despite some small overlaps with high school maths. There are some quite challenging concepts but on the whole it is rewarding to study. There are a lot of theoretical concepts and proofs to know, which you may or may not find engaging.

Quite an interesting course. Although there is more of a focus on proofs in the advanced course, you can get away with just memorising the main proofs done in lectures and tutorials. Can get difficult with epsilon-delta definition of limits but if you can push past that then it's sweet. Quizzes were good but assignments could be tedious and painful. Final exam was nice.

Pretty interesting compared to high school math

Provided a good introduction into mathematical rigour and the foundations of calculus

Hard, could totally be worth 6 credit points
