Extremely deep conceptual subject in Science is Bioinformatics and Genetics. It's almost important in research. Without it, the research is not done properly. I gained the mastery with my Professors devotion on me for this subjects. I learnt it from roots and made the flowerly tree of knowledge in this subject for myself.

An extremely interesting course that demonstrates how a lot of biological processes occur in great detail. The content can be overwhelming but with consistent study I found it to be a very rewarding course.

I was tutored by Melanie and she is just absolutely amazing. She taught me so well and made BIOC 2000 so much more understandable and gave me excellent feedback for all my assessments. She has such a good approach when tutoring, always drawing out the concepts and explaining it in a manner that was easy to comprehend. I would give her 10 stars if I could because she gave me so much more confidence when taking my final exam and I passed with a good score.

The content can be slightly overwhelming but it is still interesting. The assessments are really easy to get a good mark. The final exam is okay, a lot to write in two hour time restraint but its easy to pass as its worth around 120 marks, so each mark is worth a lot less.

Very interesting for those who enjoy biology and chemistry. But the labs may seem a little confusing sometimes as the background lecture content doesn't always precede the respective labs very neatly.

Amazing and inspiring lecturers! This course provides you with a good foundation for molecular biology and biochemistry which is definitely useful in other biology subjects. The assignments and practical reports are not too difficult. There also is an official BIOC2000 Facebook group where the lecturers can also help answer your questions. The primary focus of the exam isn't memorising content, but being able to apply what you've learnt. So make sure you are on top of your studies to do well!

I learnt a lot in this course but found that you had to work at it to get concepts and remember everything. Make sure you study and keep on top of it as it's quite content heavy. Would still recommend this course, the course coordinator, lecturers and tutors are all great and very supportive.
