The key to Maths for Biomed is to have friends! Weekly assignments that took 1-5 hours (Depending on how well you understand the content) are made so much easier when you can work on them together (or at least check them before handing them in) with friends. James Osborne was the most fantastic lecturer ever! I think he made the subject even more interesting. Yes, the concepts are hard to grasp. Yes, they're kinda theoretical and not really related to biomedicine. But this subject made me love Maths! (Very hard to do). Also, I ended the semester with a H1, even though I was struggling most of the time.

It is a pretty heavy duty subject. At the start of the year, I felt like I was understanding nothing and will probably fail the subject. As the subject progresses it all starts making sense and if you put in some decent effort then this subject is actually pretty unique. Assignments are very doable and it is very easy to get that 25%. End of the semester I actually found this subject to be the best of all. The end of year exam is very similar to exercise sheets and tutorials, they are not trying to trick you in any way and questions were pretty straightforward. The best part about this subject is the lecturer- James Osborne. He is such an enthusiastic and fantastic lecturer. He is the main reason I went to lectures and was always keen to study the subject. He is hilarious and keeps everyone awake during 8ams and 4:15 pm in evening.

Okay, so this is a pretty interesting subject! However, I found that it was really fast paced and I didn't really grasp the content as well. But when it came to exam revision and I actually took the time to understand and apply the content, it was relatively easy with a bit of challenges here and there. Overall, good subject and James Osborne is a fantastic lecturer! he's a joker and helps keep me awake
