Great unit and quite easy to do well in it. :)

an easy unit to pass as long as you stay on top of everything. to be honest, the lectures weren’t all that helpful with learning; the lecturer we had for majority of the session read off the slides and was monotone throughout the lecture which put a lot of people off attending or even listening in (which is where the slides on ilearn came in handy). i had to do a lot of self-studying but the sgtas allowed time to ask tutors questions re: the topics or clarification, go through problems and the pracs was a great time to get used to and understand the software (minitab) used although the proctors for the prac weren’t all that helpful. the bulk of the grades come from the quizzes and you don’t have to stress yourself out so much for the final exam (unless you want an HD) so try to aim high for them; use the practice quizzes for revision, they are basically identical to the actual quiz just different data inputted. overall, easy pass but you gotta study hard.

An interesting subject, great choice of tutor. Will definitely recommend it.

Quite an easy unit! Lectures, Pracs & SGTA's are all compulsory but it helps with solidifying your knowledge of the different topics. Overall most of the topics are pretty straight forward but attending drop ins doesn't hurt and they are very useful! Just staying ontop of everything and completing necessary practice questions as well as SGTA worksheets guarantees D/HD! Also the cheat sheets are super helpful in the exam as well as the practice quizzes which if u practice enough shows there's no reason for u not to get 100% on each assessment before the exam. 100% would recommend this unit ((:

Not a challening subject, however the concepts are new and you can feel like you are studying a different language. Maybe you need to put some time to study. But once you get the basic, that's easy.

This unit is a great introduction to statistics, for a uni course its not hard. Fairly straight forward. Keep onto of the work, do the reading and work through the examples in lectures and you will be fine!

Fun subject! I loved how engaging and easy the lecturers make this unit. Easy HD

Best unit at university. So clear and easy to follow. Cannot praise this one enough after suffering so many poorly planned courses.

As far as a statistics class goes, it's really not that bad. Lectures are dry, but the material is understandable and the class is set up in a way that makes all the information very accessible. While the stricter of the two lecturers offered, I would recommend Petra as she is very knowledgeable and slightly more engaging. She's also more than happy to help with any issues that may arise.
