For all the high reviews this got it let me down a LOT. Practical side of it was interesting and useful, but theory side was frustrating. quizzes were held which were marked based on how well you could memorise the EXACT WORDING of the lecture slides - some of which were not even discussed in the lectures (which makes it seem like they are extra / unimportant?) but we were expected to know them for the quiz. tutor was very defensive of her marking when questioned. answers were quickly gone through and not discussed in workshop. most of the workshops were slow or pointless for the week. Matt is an alright lecturer. cool as a person as he makes what he does say interesting, but what he was saying did not really help make clear which information we need for assessments and which information was actually tangential. the practical aspects were all super easy if you keep up with the written instructions. nothing hard is taught but it is a solid introduction to html and css

I did ISYS100 and I got to say this is one of the best subjects I did in uni. Mathew is such a great lecturer. He makes all the topics interesting and fun. The assignments also is fun as well. They teach you HTML and CSS so if you're in an IT degree this should be a piece of cake. The second assignment was blogging which I also really enjoyed. You don't need to be very detailed with your blog but just do your best. The final exam was basically what you have done in your assignment 1 which was HTML/CSS and assignment 2 which was writing a blog. You have 2 quizzes which I do recommend you study for at least a day, that was the hardest part of the unit. The essay wasn't bad if you're good with essays. Overall just do your best in this subject and you will pass. It is a very enjoyable and you learn lots in this unit.

Best unit so far!!! Super easy, and super fun tutorials. Actually a tute class that I looked forward to attending. I had Ed Moore, who is so helpful and chilled - making it easier to approach for help. Learnt HTML which is important to maintain this knowledge through out the unit up to the practical exam. You get participation marks just by attending! Lecturer Matt is super funny, and actually wants you to pass
