One of the most engaging lecturers I have ever had! I did this as a Planet unit and struggled with how much content was provided. There were like 4 lectures per week! The "exam" was fantastic because it was basically the same questions as all of the previous years!

Highly do not recommend unless you are actually studying science. Although there are no prerequisites the unit convener expects quite a lot from students.

Most lecture content was interesting, and some of it was presented in a quite unique way. A fair bit of it tied in well with PSYC104. However, I did find a fair few tutes boring. Also, I found the assignment quite difficult at first; submitting the draft on time definitely helped. Despite the usefulness of the draft, the topic I chose (the St John Smith et al paper) was quite difficult to research. That aside, you don't need too deep an understanding of the lecture content to do well in the final exam. All in all, it's an okay subject for an elective. Side note: definitely go to the infotainment lecture.

Very interactive lectures, however the material is provided in an awkward way with some lectures being non-examinable.

Wasn't a huge fan of this subject. When I did it, they had the two hour lecture divided into two, so the first hour was examinable content, and the second was relevant, but non-examinable videos. I personally did not value the second hour at all (though it was optional), and thought the time may have been spent better covering the other hour in person, as opposed to online. They did make an effort to make the subject fun, so credit is deserved there, and I have used lots of what I have learned in my psychology subjects. The final exam was also incredibly easy - most of the questions were repeated from previous years, so provided that you do the practice, you should be able to ace it. Bonus points to the lecturer for dressing up and singing.
