I found it difficult because I didn't do chemistry in high school. However if you keep up with chapter questions and do as many practice exams as you can you will do well.

The lectures started at a basic level so people who haven't done chemistry before can learn. The lectures were well structured and presented however the prac classes were irrelevant to the course material and not much support given from the tutor.

This subject was fairly straight forward if you did VCE chemistry prior to undertaking SLE133!

Some basic chemistry here. If you've done science before it'll be easy for you, if you're like me and have not done science before, it might be a challenge, but a fun one at that. Get ready to explore some basic thermochem, acid base and redox reactions. take it in with some wonder and it'll be great.

Having done no science or maths in year 11 and 12, I found this subject really difficult. It would be fine if u already have prior knowledge of chemistry but if not, expect to be thrown in at the deep end (or middle-to-deep-end!) There was one lecturer/lab teacher who unfortunately seemed oblivious to the fact that not everyone lives and breathes inside a world of 'ionic bonds and valence shells' and gave arrogant and abstruse answers to sensible questions. All other lecturers were approachable and excellent.

This chem unit will be easy for you if you want to do well, as lecture slides had everything you needed to know, and the practice exam was very similar in style and content. All you need to do was put in the work. I found it an excellent unit to do.

It is a easy subject if you did VCE chemistry. It could be difficult if you have not done maths and/or chemistry for VCE, as it condensed at least 50% of VCE chemistry in 10 weeks.

Pretty decent start for a student who has not learned Chemistry before, gives you an overview about Chemistry and you have studied this subject in high school, you will ace it.

Excellent introductory subject to Chemistry. The resources given for students I believe allow those without any chemistry background to excel if they put the effort in. As a student who has completed Year 11/12 Chemistry or has had any other experience of Chemistry it should be quite easy, but still a great way to reinforce and retain Chemistry knowledge.

Way too basic, very likely so for a Year 12 Chemistry student. But I am a mature student who last attended formal Chemistry class nearly 20 years ago. Hence if you put in the effort early this unit is already HD in the bag. Unit should have been harder.
