Very much a theory-based unit, which is understandable in first year. The more exciting units are yet to come, so this is a great unit to really explore different aspects of midwifery and how midwives practice, as well as do a little bit of soul searching as to whether midwifery is for you. Although at the time I was disappointed for the lack of practical stuff, it still gave a decent foundation and made me more excited for further midwifery units. Enjoy!
