The lab is great in this unit but the lectures are extremely variable. Some lecturers read off the PowerPoint adding nothing of use. Other lecturers are very good and teach very in depth. I used the recommended lippincott textbook for the lectures where there was inadequate teaching, and it definitely helped. I would recommend it if you want to know more. I liked the ‘Biochemistry’ textbook available from the library less than the lippincott. Fun lab though!

Was a big confusing but now seems to have gotten better. Unit coordinator knows his stuff and is extremely intelligent. Content is great for chemistry or biochem students - gives you a good grounding into lab techniques and reducing errors. Highly recommend this unit :)
