Lecturers could be better. Lecture slides from the second half of the course are not as detailed as the first half especially the ones one excel. Matlab is a useful tool for students doing math courses ahead. Small group discovery topics are thought provoking. The practical assignments are really good. They test actual problem solving skills rather than just programming and are unlike any other course I've taken in first year. The matlab documentation and stackoverflow are very helpful.
