Make sure you get a good group (most people tend to drop just before census date). Do progressive work each week for individual studies, and you will ace the exams - also most important tip: the unit is theory based - so do you readings and the more examples you have for a concept, the better.

This unit is heavily based on theory. I felt it was delivered in a way that did not cater for students who had no work experience in Australia since many of the business examples and cases were based on local businesses. The presentations and your mark will all depend on your tutor, so use the first one as a trial. For example, my group was clearly instructed to use less graphics and stick to the content, a very different thing to Marketing presentations.

Do not get Liz Ashard as your tutor. She is very disorganised. Group presentations are tough and assignments are tougher.

Good unit presents strong and relevant ideas on important aspects of a business such as management and employment relations. Assignments were relevant. Enjoyed it
