A mildly interesting unit, if you find modern history interesting. The weekly quizzes are ridiculous. The questions are ambiguous & interpretive & I never passed them. I did not attend or listen to any lectures, but did attend every tutorial. I passed the unit with a high credit.

I've never been so bored in my life. There are also assumptions that we know a lot of the historical things that happened but in all honesty, for someone who does not like history and never paid attention in HS...well they didn't exactly make it easy or enjoyable to follow.

Very boring unit. The readings aren't necessary. I stopped doing them after week 8 and still managed to get 83. The content covered was very superficial and not a true indication of the Australia's relations with the world

Very informative lectures and great tutorials. For a subject I thought I would loathe, I've really enjoyed it!

It's about politics so hard going at times but interesting. Lots of quizzes. 2 short and 1 long essay and no final exam

Boring if you already know some history, easy to pass and a waste of time

A very good place to start for an Arts core- this covers very important groundwork which frames Australia's contemporary historical and socio-political context. Although the lectures can be sometimes dry, there is a lot to take away from this unit if History is your area of interest.

Does get its up and downs but can easily pass and exceed if studied well

I'm a history student but I found this unit to be a bit boring.
