Honestly not too bad for the content and assignments. They were fairly straight forward and the literature search was easy to do well in with a mean of 82 or smth. I did quite well, should get an HD, I liked it, exam was fair BUT the amount of content is quite insane to be honest. Memorising 150 pages is probably the only way you’re knowing about everything in that exam but I appreciate that they actually assessed the lecture content and didn’t completely fuck you like they did in 2212 (entirely based on the textbook. Oh and the assignments had like zero instruction. They were graded pretty nicely but honestly as with every PSYCH unit this seems to depend on how lucky you are with ur tutor and that exam angered almost everyone). If you get a good tutor you should be fine but even though the content isn’t too hard, I’d start memorising in the 150 page content in advance, to not be crying the night before in a ball like me x

This is the worst f*cking unit ever. Too much content to fit in a god damn semester. Do not recomend, stay away from it. Im dropping PSYCH because of this unit.

I'm sorry to say it but this unit wasn't as good as I had hoped. This is because the lecture content, although interesting, simply isn't that engaging and a little dry. The readings are also quite long, but I didn't find this to be too much of an issue as long as I kept up with these consistently every week. Assessments included a literature search, which was extremely easy to get high marks in, a research report, which was very interesting, and an exam. In terms of an easier unit this one would be ideal, especially as the exam is predominantly MCQ (couple of short answers), but in terms of being engaged and stimulated, not so much. The labs also were a bit of a letdown especially during the end of the year, as it seemed like my own tutor wasn't too sure how to conduct the activities we were given. Tutors also need to work on communicating the same things as each other to their students, as for one of the assignments, two tutors said completely different things that left some of us quite confused. Overall, I did like this unit, but it needs some work.

Content was ok but can't be cramped. Assignment was fairly easy and doable. Exam consist of MCQs and short answers and need lots of study for this.

interesting content and fairly easy to learn if you stay on top of it, try to make sure you have good group members for the debate as there is not tutorial time to work together and it has to be planned outside of class time.

Grades are made up of a group presentation, a lab report and an exam (100 MC and 2 shorts answers). An interesting subject.

Similar to PSYC2208. Actually matches it really well but more about typical rather than atypical development. Involves a group debate and an essay. Keep on top of the review questions and you'll be fine. Exam is multiple choice with 2 short answer questions.
