The lectures were interesting, the assessments were manageable and straight forward. Easy HD if you try. Overall, an amazing unit. Maggie is an amazing teacher.

The lectures were a little boring for me but the tutorials were quite interesting. The lectures were really overwhelming when I first started but by week 2, it was much easier to comprehend everything. The online quizzes were pretty good, as they were just based on the lectures. The assignments will be manageable if you understand really well what you're doing and ask questions.

thought this was an easy elective, it was not. Lectures were engaging but readings were a bit much for a first year unit. Also, this unit had a lot of communication theories and if you're looking for a "creative" elective this is not for you. More on writing persuasively, even tho there was one assignment where u have to create a script, movie, or website or any creative medium about a communication theorist. Quizzes were worth 20% of the grade, and some questions were hard to score full marks. Maybe because of the online mode, but i was disappointed with the grading and the unit overall. Marking was subjective.

This unit prompted me to change into the communications major. Katjia Lee is such a great lecturer, really made the content relatable

It was alright. The lectures did get boring sometimes, but it wasn't too difficult. It is easy to forget to do some of the online participation marks, such as the weekly quizzes though. The assignments weren't too bad, but were a bit monotonous.

Super subjective marking, I put in lots of effort but still barely managed a HD. Content was interesting so if you're doing this for the sake of learning, you'll gain something out of it.

I loved my tutor, he was really helpful in all areas and made me more passionate to study media. The course itself is also a really good course for starting to study media

Lecturer is totally awesome, great sense of humour, full of knowledge, makes learning fun. My tutor was great, a super big help for first years.
